If that synopsis doesn’t give it away, the comedy is rightfully best known for its laughs, but in the climactic final rounds of the tournament, Thurber also demonstrated a knack for infusing the goofiness with well-orchestrated action moments. With his latest film,Central Intelligence, Thurber gets to put that skill to good use with an action comedy that delivers both parts of that equation in equal measure, mixing set-pieces and gags with ease....

Freeform has released a newCloak & Daggertrailer. The upcoming series follows Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph), two teenagers who discover they not only have mysterious powers, but that their powers are linked to each other. Tandy can throw daggers made of light, and Tyrone can engulf others in darkness, and together they’re even more powerful. If Marvel didn’t have such a spotty track record with its TV series, I’d be far more excited for this one because it has a great premise....

David Cronenberg’s upcoming featureThe Shroudshas unveiled its first teaser ahead of its Cannes Film Festival debut. The horror film stars the likes ofVincent CasselandGuy Pearceand deals with the themes of death and the afterlife. The brief sneak peek sees Cassel as a grieving husband whose wife’s grave is desecrated and discovers that the perpetrator was spying on him through her. While the brief video doesn’t give away much, it sets a thrilling tone for the film and gives a taste of compelling performances in store for us....
