‘The French Dispatch’ (2021)

InThe French Dispatch(2021), Arthur Howitzer Jr. (Bill Murray) was the Editor-In-Chief of the magazine, The French Dispatch, in Ennui, France. For the last issue of the newspaper, he gathered a team of journalists to write an obituary and feature stories for the magazine. Journalists Herbsaint Sazerac (Wilson), J.K.L. Berensen (Tilda Swinton), Lucinda Krementz (Frances McDormand), and Roebuck Wright (Jeffrey Wright) shared four different stories and the challenges that they faced when reporting.

Each journalist’s restated story was accompanied by black and white and colored cinematography. Herbaint’s story, titled, “The Cycling Reporter” focused on the similarities and differences of how the city Ennui changed over time.The French Dispatchis DirectorWes Anderson’s most recent film amongst his other cinematic masterpieces.

‘Masterminds’ (2016)

Wilson joined a cast of comedic actors to pull off one of the largest bank heistsin history. In the movieMasterminds(2016), David Ghantt (Zack Galifianakis) was a vault supervisor for Loomis, Fargo & Co. bank. Transporting millions of dollars wasn’t as thrilling as it sounded for David. So when his coworker and crush Kelly Campbell (Kristen Wiig) suggested to David to steal the money, David jumped at the chance.

InThe Internship(2013), Billy McMahon (Vince Vaughn) and Nick Campbell (Wilson) found out that their boss (John Goodman) closed the company after admitting that the company wasn’t cut out for the digital market. Now the two former salesmen were searching for a new job until they came across an internship for Google.

Google typically hired exceptionally clever college-aged students, but the recruiters took a chance and hired Billy and Nick, who didn’t really have a clue about the digital world. Google’s summer internship program promised interns an opportunity to work at Google full-time after winning a competition amongst the other interns.

‘Marley & Me’ (2008)

Any dog owner, including Wilson’s character John,can agree having a dog will guarantee bountiful adventures for a lifetime. InMarley & Me(2008), the newly wedded couple, John and Jenny (Jennifer Aniston) decide to get a golden retriever puppy and name it Marley. Little did they know that the clumsy and mischievous puppy would grow up to be a 100-pound troublemaker.

Through fights, tragedies, and struggles, Marley was there for his owners. He inspired John’s articles. Even the significant milestone events such as pregnancy and move-ins, Marley was a part of the family.

‘Night at the Museum’ trilogy (2006, 2009, and 2014)

At dusk, when the museum was closed, every creature at the Museum of Natural History came to life. In the movieNight at the Museum(2008), Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) was hired as the new night security guard at the Museum of Natural History. The other security guards warned him that he should verify that nothing entered or left the museum at night. Larry didn’t completely understand what they meant until his night shift when he saw a T. Rex drinking out of a water fountain.

‘You, Me, and Dupree’ (2006)

Dupree (Wilson) was the third wheel in Carl (Matt Dillon) and Molly’s (Kate Hudson) marriage. Dupree was fired from his job and lost his apartment. Dupree was Carl’s best friend so when Carl found out about Dupree’s situation, he decided to invite him over to live with him and his wife Molly. Molly was skeptical about the idea since she didn’t really know who Dupree was.

Carl and Molly believed that this would be temporary. Dupree would stay with them until he finds a stable job until they learned that Dupree was not in any hurry to find a job. He had a carefree approach to life and enjoyed life to the fullest. He clashed with the expectations that Carl and Molly had.

‘Wedding Crashers’ (2005)

Before they were interns at Google, Vaughn and Wilson’s characters were busy crashing people’s weddings. InWedding Crashers(2005), John Beckwith (Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vaughn) believed that they mastered the ideal way to meet single women at weddings. They introduced themselves as whomever they wanted to be as long as they blended in with the wedding party and promised to not fall in love.

However, at Cleary’s wedding, John starts falling for Claire (Rachel McAdams) and Jeremy questioned whether he was falling for Gloria (Isla Fisher). This proved to be problematic since the women fell in love with men who lied about their lives.Rumors hinted at a possible upcoming sequel toWedding Crasherswith Vaugh and Wilson reprising their roles.

‘Starsky and Hutch’ (2004)

InStarsky and Hutch(2004), Police officers Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson (Wilson) and Dave Starsky (Stiller) were destined to protect “Bay City” from any crime but maybe not as partners. Dave “Starsky” was book-smart, whereas Hutch was street-smart. Their boss, Captain Doby (Fred Williamson) assigned them to find the suspect behind the murder of a drug dealer.

They often exchanged in friendly banter about their approaches to police work. Yet to find the perpetrator, they had to rely on each other and any information that Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg) was able to scout out for them. When they thought they were close to finally closing in on the case, they encountered further complications.

‘I-Spy’ (2002)

to get into the boxing match and close enough to Arnold, Alex was assigned to work with World Class Boxing Champion Kelly Robinson (Eddie Murphy). Kelly was arrogant and was unfazed when the United States told him they needed his help with a dangerous mission. He often disrupted Alex’s carefully thought-out plans.

‘Shanghai Noon’ (2000)

InShanghai Noon(2000), Princess Pei Pei (Lucy Liu) was kidnapped from China and is held captive in the United States. To redeem himself after letting his guard down, the guard Chong Wang (Jackie Chan). During the Wild West time period in the United States, in Nevada, Chong fled a train and ran into Roy O’Bannon (Wilson) a wanted outlaw.

While initially leaving Roy buried in the sand, eventually Chong agreed to have Roy help him find Princess Pei Pei.Shanghai Noonmixed martial arts with the western genre to create a slapstick comedy. The sequel toShanghai NoonwasShanghai Knights(2003) where Chong and Roy’s misadventures took them to England.
