The Saturn Awards Organization recently unveiled their nominations for the 43rd Annual Saturn Awards:Rogue One: A Star Wars Storyled the way with 11 nominations in the motion picture category, while AMC’sThe Walking Deadcame in first in the TV category with a total of 7 nominations. The network’s prequelFear the Walking Deadalso received 4 nominations.
Other Disney nods included 10 nominations apiece for theSteven Spielberg-directed fantasy,The BFG, and Marvel’s epic mind-benderDoctor Strange, with 8 nods forCaptain America: Civil War. HBO’s ambitious seriesWestworldreceived 6 nominations, followed by 5 for FX’sAmerican Horror Story: Roanoke, and 4 for both Starz’s historical fantasyOutlanderand The CW’s superheroine seriesSupergirl. Netflix’s buzzworthy seriesStranger Thingsand starsMillie Bobby BrownandWinona Ryderalso received nominations. This year’s awards show is slated to take place on June 28 in Burbank California.
