Viewers of90 Day Fiancéand its spinoff showshave watchedAngela DeemandMichael Ilesanmi’s turbulent relationship over the course of thereality TV show. However, Deem and Ilesanmi have now separated, with Ilesanmi taking shelter with a different family. The couple is facing a legal battle regarding the end of their marriage, and now there is an update, according toIn Touch Weekly.
It was first reported in August thatDeem had filed for an annulment, citing reasons such as being “fraudulently induced” into marriage, and abandonment. Past claims of Ilesanmi “scamming” Deem for a visa have since resurfaced, as she also cited that he is using her to get a visa in the US. However, despite being given a short time to respond to the annulment, Ilesanmi, with the help of loyal fans, got an attorney of his own to fight against Deem’s filing.

After Deem filed for an annulment,Ilesanmi submitted a counterclaimthat asked for a divorce and spousal support and also accused her of domestic violence. To the delight of both Deem and Ilesanmi, the divorce is now moving quickly, as Ilesanmi submitted the documents and information that Deem requested. This comes months after Deem slammed Ilesanmi in court.
The Ongoing Legal Battle Is Causing Tension Outside the Court
As part of their legal case, Deem had served interrogatories. This is a list of questions or demands that she wanted Ilesanmi to provide information on or submit documents for. Now that Ilesanmi has completed her request, the divorce should move quicker and smoother.
Although this is a legal case, the tension is mainly outside the courtroom. Since reports of Deem filing an annulment,Deem has taken to social media to threaten Ilesanmi, causing more backlash from fans. For instance, she posted a video warning Ilesanmi that “You haven’t met your match;you met someone that is overqualified.” In an earlier video, she posted a video with the audio stating, “Do not underestimate me,” and also said, “Nevet try to destroy someone’s life with a lie.”

In a recent interview,Deem also threw more shade and threats at her estranged husband. She warns, “Enjoy America while you can,” a comment that comes months after an annulment lawyer stated thatIlesanmi’s visa status could be impacted if the annulment is granted. She then also follows up with “Remember who brought the ratings. It wasn’t you, that’s all I can tell you,” and stated that she does not know his whereabouts, but she knows“where he’s going.” Ilesanmi still has not responded to the interview.
