Not too long ago I got to watch a number of scenes from the film, and was impressed by not only the visuals but the way the material seemed perfect for Burton’s imagination and love of the weird. I left the presentation impressed and excited to see more.

Shortly afterwards, I got the opportunity to speak with Asa Butterfield and Ella Purnell, who play students at the school. They talked about what they’re excited for audiences to see, the marriage of Tim Burton’s imagination with the cool material/story, how Burton called Miss Peregrine “Scary Poppins,” the way the film looks like Burton’sX-Men, and more. Check out all they had to say in the video above, and then below you’ll find he synopsis and links to some recent coverage.
