On Thursday, December 5,BritBoxreleased its 2025 slate of premieres and returning series that highlight the depth and power of British storytelling.Outrageousis one of those series and will premiere in the summer of 2025. Based on the true story of the Mitford sisters,Outrageouschronicles a family saga about six scandalous sisters far ahead of their time. These ladies were the aristocratic daughters of the secondBaron Redesdaleand his wife,Sydney Bowles, who achieved fame and notoriety during the 1930s. The historical drama starsBessie Carter(Bridgerton) as Nancy Mitford, the eldest Mitford sister,Joanna Vanderham(Crime) as Diana Mitford,Isobel Jesper Jonesas Pamela Mitford,Shannon Watsonas Unity Mitford,Zoe Broughas Jessica Mitford,Orla Hillas Deborah Mitford, the youngest Mitford sister andAnna Chancellor(My Lady Jane) as Sydney Bowles, the girls’ mother.
Outrageousis created and written bySarah Williams, who is among the similarly extraordinary writers added toBritBox’s recent announcement. While announcing its 2025 slate, the streaming service listed new series from top U.K. writers, includingSally Wainwright(Riot Women), Williams (Outrageous),Rachel Bennette(Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero),Catherine Moulton(Code of Silence),Kelly Jones(A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story),Anna Symon(Joan), andCat Jones(The Jetty).

In addition, there will be reimagined looks at treasured literary characters inLynleyandAgatha Christie’s Towards Zero.
