Captain America: Brave New Worldshocked audiences with the return of Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson). But the design for the villain that was seen in the movie wasn’t Marvel Studios' first idea.Blue Whale Makeup, one of the companies who worked on the sequel directed byJulius Onah, revealed a new look at one of the original designs for the character. The Leader can be seen with the big, green head that makes him stand out from other characters in the Marvel comic books.

The story ofCaptain America: Brave New Worldfollowed Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as he was still getting used to his role as Captain America. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) isn’t around to save people anymore, leaving Wilson with all the responsibility connected to carrying the shield. Sam Wilson wasn’t alone in his mission of taking down The Leader. Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) made his debut on the big screen after being introduced during the events ofThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The new Falcon was ready to soar through the sky as an official associate of Captain America.

The Leader had been introduced as an awkward scientist inThe Incredible Hulk. Back then,William Hurtplayed General Ross, the dangerous military leader who looked to take down the Hulk (Edward Norton). Samuel Sterns went through an unfortunate accident that enhanced his intelligence and deformed his physical appearance. It was up toHarrison Fordto continue General Ross' legacy inCaptain America: Brave New World, as the former military leader became the President of the United States. Fate would reunite Thaddeus Ross and Samuel Sterns in this sequel.

What’s Next for Captain America?

Sam Wilson had to face his biggest opponents yet in the form of The Leader and President Ross. But the hero has to get ready for an upcoming crossover that will need Captain America at the top of his game.Avengers: Doomsdaywill put the fate of the multiverse at stake whenRobert Downey Jr.returns to the franchise as the evil Doctor Doom. No one will be safe from one of the most powerful antagonists in Marvel history. Captain America will be a part of the massive blockbuster scheduled to premiere on July 07, 2025.
