He said he’d be back, but I bet you never thought he’d return like this. AsDonald Trumpcontinues his campaign for the U.S. presidency,Arnold Schwarzeneggerreplaces him as the host ofThe Celebrity Apprentice, and the first promo has arrived to play up the actor’sTerminatorpast.
The 35-second spot sees Schwarzenegger mechanically assembled by a machine before he stares down the camera and enjoys a puff from his cigar. “Let’s get down to business,” seems to be his new catchphrase. It’s just pleasing to know that we can still look back on his term as theTerminatorfranchise star fondly, instead of dwelling onGenysis.

NBC cut ties with Trump back in 2015 and formally announced his firing at the Television Critics Association press tour the same year. The network cited the Republican nominee’s now infamous remarks on Mexican immigrants: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best…they’re sending people that have lots of problems…they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Trump, naturally, said he wasn’t fired. He toldTHRat the time, “The primary tension I had was that they wanted me to doThe Apprentice, and they were very angry that I didn’t do it…I read a story two weeks ago from somebody that didn’t understand, where they said, ‘NBC cut ties with Trump.' They didn’t cut ties with me, I cut ties with them out of respect. But they were very upset.”
