Sorry, she’s not sorry. Fans ofDemi Lovato, especially those who are fond of her pop sound, can officially put an end to their grieving as the “Cool For The Summer” hitmaker is now gearing up for her return topop music. This comes more than three years after Lovato embraced apunk-rockdirection, even going so far as to hold a “funeral” for her pop music.

Back in 2022, the singer jokingly took to Instagram to announce the death of her pop era. She shared an image while clad in black, alongside Island Records' music executives and her then-managerScooter Braun, captioning it, “A funeral for my pop music.” Lovato did hold on to that promise with the release of her pop-punk record,Holy Fvck, in the same year. After all, it was a sound familiar to her, and she considered her eighth studio album a return to that style, which was apparent in her first two studio albums. However, Lovato seems to have had a change of heart and is considering resurrecting the genre she left behind in recent years.
