TheDrake-Kendrick Lamarbeef isn’t ending any time soon. Although things have seemingly simmered down sinceLamar’s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, the Toronto rapper hasn’t completely let K-Dot off the hook. What started asfriendly competition in the early 2010s— after collaborations like “Poetic Justice” and “Buried Alive Interlude,” — has evolved into a full-blown war. Things escalated in 2023 with “First Person Shooter,” and by 2024, both rappers were trading diss tracks.
But the battle turned especially ugly after Drake’s “Family Matters” accused Lamar of abuse, prompting Lamar’s clapback “Meet the Grahams” and the now-iconic “Not Like Us,” which accused Drake of grooming. With Drake and Lamar currently embarking on their international tours, fans aren’t shy about expressing what they truly feel for both artists.

Drake Gave a Cheeky Response to a Chant During His Birmingham Stop
Drake and his fans aren’t letting the Lamar feud die down just yet. During his “Some Special Shows 4 U” tour stop in Birmingham on July 21 fansbroke into a loud “f–k Kendrick” chant. The chant was so intense thatthe rapper paused mid-show and cheekily said,“I can’t say that I don’t agree.”This isn’t the first time anti-Kendrick chants have been a thing at Drake’s shows. Earlier this month, at London’s Wireless Festival from July 11–13, he headlined all three nights. When the crowd at Finsbury Park chanted the same thing. Drake reportedly turned to his longtime friendChubbsand told him to grab a shot.
Besides the highly publicized Drake-Lamar beef, the former seems to be taking jabs at basketball MVP LeBron James. Their once-tight friendship, which dates back to 2007, seems to be on the edge in the wake of the feud between the two rap titans. While performing in Perth during his “Anita Max Wynn” tour, Drake switched the lyrics from “Nonstop,” rapping “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron” (the original lyrics were “like I’m LeBron”). The tension likely stems from James publicly supporting Lamar. On August 05, 2025, James, along with fellow NBA starsJames Harden,DeMar DeRozan, andRussell Westbrook, attended Lamar’s “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends”concert in Inglewood, California. Most recently, James was spottedvibing to Lamar’s “Not Like Us”in Cannes, France.

How’s the Drake-Kendrick Feud Since the 2025 Super Bowl?
It’s been a hot minute since Lamar’s massive Super Bowl Halftime Show, which pulled in 133.5 million viewers across multiple platforms. In betweenfan favorites “Squabble Up” and “DNA,”it was Lamar’s “Not Like Us” thatdrew in uproarious crowd reactions. But before the rapper could get into the diss track, Lamar told the crowd he wanted to perform their “favorite song”, but couldn’t because “they love to sue” —referring to Drake’s legal threats.
On March 17, Drakefiled a defamation lawsuitagainst Universal Music Group (UMG), claiming Lamar’s “Not Like Us” hurt his reputation. UMG fired back, saying the lawsuit was embarrassing and thatDrake was just bitter about losing the feud. On April 16, Drake updated the lawsuit to include Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, arguing thateven though the word “pedophile” was censored, the performance was still meant to damage his image. The next day, Drake expanded the lawsuit againto include Lamar’s Grammy performance, saying both shows made millions of new people wrongly believe he was a pedophile. Drake called the halftime show a public “character assassination” and insisted the performance was defamatory.

Lamar and SZA’s “Grand National Tour” has become the highest-grossing in history, earning a massive $254.6 million and selling 1.1 million tickets(only from the North American shows.) The rapper-singer duo hit the number with only 23 performances out of their planned 39 shows across North America and Europe. While celebrating tour success, SZA also found herself caught inan online back-and-forth feud with Nicki Minaj. The drama began when Minaj accused SZA’s former manager,Punch(the president of Top Dawg Entertainment), of bullying and lying. Around the same time, SZA posted a tweet about Mercury retrograde, warning fans not to “take the bait.” Minaj took it personally, calling SZA a liar and a “hoe” in a separate, paragraph-long tweet.
