After grossing less than $10 million at the box office this weekend, things are winding down for Marvel’s second movie of the year.Thunderboltsdebuted at the start of the month, and the film has managed to collect$358 million at the global box office, with a roughly even split of $175 million coming from domestic markets and $182 million internationally. AlthoughThunderboltsperhaps hasn’t earned enough to be considered a colossal financial success,Hot Toys has celebrated it passing $350 million globally by releasing a new figureofFlorence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The new collectible bears an uncanny resemblance to Pugh’s appearance in the film, and it includes her short and long batons, attachable scythe blades, as well as her pistol and combat knife for her close-quarters encounters.
Hot Toys announced shortly afterThunderbolts*hit theaters that a full line of collectibles was coming soon, and it’s no surprise to see Yelena’s figure being the first one announced. Expect figures for Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) to be announced in the coming weeks.
Hot Toys has been leaning more into Star Wars lately than it has Marvel, as it released two new figures of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) to coincide with the 20th anniversary re-release ofRevenge of the Sith. Hot Toys also announced a few days after the Season 2 finale that a new line of collectibles fromThe Last of Usis coming, which will likely include figures for Joel (Pedro Pascal), Ellie (Bella Ramsey), Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), and more.
Marvel’s Final Movie of 2025 Is Also Its Biggest
Thunderboltsis the second Marvel movie of the year behindCaptain America: Brave New World, and Marvel Studios will finish the year withThe Fantastic Four: First Steps. The secondThunderboltspost-credits scene teased the arrival of Marvel’s First Family, presumably after they have dealt with Galactus (Ralph Ineson). It’s also been confirmed that all four members of the team – Pedro Pascal,Joseph Quinn,Vanessa Kirby, andEbon Moss-Bachrach– will star in bothAvengers: DoomsdayandSecret Wars.F4will be Marvel’s final movie beforeDoomsday, so expectations are higher than ever.
