Having worked together for several seasons on the critically acclaimed HBO fantasy series, Benioff and Weiss have been reunited withAlfie Allenfor the second season of the sci-fi drama.
For those who follow the tales from Westeros, Allen played the role of Theon Greyjoy across all eight seasons of the series, which ran from 2011 to 2019.Netflixofficially announced the arrival of Allen via their X handle, as the show welcomes yet another GOT alum to the series. Allen will be playing a recurring character in3 Body ProblemSeason 2, allegedly named Fuzzy Brain, and his casting announcement came alongside news that bothDavid YipandJordan Sunshinehave both also joined the show’s sophomore outing. Allen is not the first on-screen actor from the acclaimed HBO series to swap the scheming of Westeros for the science of3 Body Problem. Season 1 of the sci-fi drama sawLiam Cunningham, who played Davos Seaworth on Thrones,John Bradley, who played Samwell Tarly, andJonathan Pryce, who played the High Sparrow, all feature.Conleth Hilleven made a cameo appearance.

Created by co-creators Benioff and Weiss, alongsideAlexander Woo,3 Body Problemis an adaptation of authorCixin Liu’s trilogy that tells the story of an alien invasion set over a vast period of time. The first season debuted last year tocritical acclaim and reigned atop Netflix’s TV chartfor several weeks. Speaking last year, Weissrevealed plans to surpasstheir first outing with Season 2, saying, “This kind of eases you into the world of the story, but the story gets really wild in the best possible way.” The description for Season 2 of3 Body Problemis brief and cryptic:
