The main storyline inSeason 3follows Georgia’s murder trial, for which the audience knows she is absolutely guilty and thatTom Fuller is not the only person she’s killed. Becoming known as the Mayoress Murderess, Georgia’s trial becomes a nationwide debate, but it concludes with a shocking testimony from Austin. Revealing that he saw the murder while hiding in the room,Austin claims that Gil (Aaron Ashmore) snuck in and killed Tom, getting revenge for Cynthia (Sabrina Grdevich) blocking his housing application. After Zion’s (Nathan Mitchell) girlfriend, Simone (Vinessa Antoine), took the case, Ginny overheard her telling Zion that without another suspect, Georgia would lose. So, Ginny took matters into her own hands. After Gil hurt her physically and threatened to take Austin away to his hometown, Ginny confronted Austin to ask him to save Georgia at Gil’s expense. Caught between his parents, Austin agrees, even helping to find a motivation for the murder.
