It’s anyone’s guess as to how the second season of ABC’s uber-popular crime series,High Potential, will play out, but two of its stars,Deniz AkdenizandJavicia Lesliesay their characters are ready for whatever may lie ahead. Recently speaking with TV Insider, the pair were happy to open up about where audiences will see their characters when the show returns in the fall and what they think will be their top priorities. For Akdeniz, he says that his Major Crimes investigator, Oz, will be looking for revenge, revealing,
“There’s a serial killer or a game player out on the loose that we have to really resolve, and I think the start of the season will definitely address that. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to finally bring that person to justice, considering they put me in the bottom of a pool, which I didn’t appreciate.”

For some context, in theSeason 1 finale, Oz was taken captive by the mysterious character who seems to be the title’snext big bad, was weighed down, and dropped at the bottom of a pool. With little time to save him, Oz’s team snapped into action, making it just under the buzzer. One of those team members who jumped to save the law enforcement official was his partner, Daphne, who is played by Leslie in the series. When someone comes for one member of the crew, they come for them all, with the actress adding,
“And I’m here to avenge it. This is my guy, this is my partner, and I’m ride or die for my partner. So whoever put him in the bottom of a pool is going to get my wrath.”

What Else Do We Know About Season 2 of ‘High Potential’?
In addition to the latest tease from two of its stars, it was recently revealed thatHigh Potential’s second season would beback in a big way with 18 episodes in total. For those doing the math, that’s five more than Season 1, which tapped out after 13. It isn’t totally clear why the first season didn’t receive a back order, but we’d likely bank it onKaitlin Olson’s incredibly busy schedule, which also included filming the seventeenth season ofIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Speaking of Olson, here’s what she teasedabout the road that lies ahead for her character, Morgan, in the next batch of episodes:

“We left you on a cliffhanger, and so it’s kind of a three-part cliffhanger, ‘cause we don’t know if this woman met her match in the gamemaster, you don’t know what’s going on with Karadec, and there’s always the Roman question, so we are going to address that stuff and it’s a two-part opener.”
High Potentialis now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
