It’s been a few months since any news aboutMGM+’s version of the iconicRobin Hoodtale made the rounds, but finally, that’s about to change. With production currently underway on the small-screen adaptation,seven new members have been added to its cast, joiningJack Patten and Lauren McQueen, who will headline the series as Rob and Marian. TheRobin Hoodseries is expectedto premiere sometime in December, but with a precise date to be announced in due time.
The latest cast members announced for the newRobin Hoodshow includeTom Mison,Graeme Thomas King,Anastasia Griffith,Matija Gredić,Mihailo Lazić,Boban Marjanović, andJelena Gavrilović. Misonwill star as Rob’s father, Hugh Locksley; King as the power-hungry Prince John; Griffith as Joan Locksley; Gredić as Drew Miller; Lazić as Henry; Marjanović as Drogo; and Gavrilović as Godda. Others previously tapped areSean Beanas “the no-good, tax-loving Sheriff of Nottingham” andConnie Nielsen as Eleanor of Aquitaine.
In more casting news, thisRobin Hoodadaptationwill also seeLydia Peckhamappear as Priscilla of Nottingham, whileStevenWaddingtonportrays the Earl of Huntingdon. Among Robin’s Merry Men,Marcus Fraserwill play Little John,Angus Castle-Doughtystars as Friar Tuck, andHenry Rowleytakes on the role of Will. ShowrunnerJohn Glennwill oversee the series while producer-directorJonathan Englishwill direct. The duo also serve as writers and executive producers, alongsideTodd Lieberman.

Produced by Lionsgate Televisionfor MGM+,Robin Hoodwill premiere six 45-minute episodeslater this year with an alluring plot that promises to bring a “modern energy” to the epic saga ofRobin Hood and his Merry Men. The series follows the eponymous character, who is also the son of a Saxon forester, as he falls in love with the daughter of a Norman lord. Together, they fight for justice and freedom during times of tyranny. Robin leads a band of outlaws while Marian uses her position in court to infiltrate the royal inner circles.
