As if you needed reminding how both beautiful and badass the cast ofHobbs & Shawis, new character posters have just been released which really get the point across. In them, we see starsDwayne JohnsonandJason Statham(who are of course reprising their roles as Hobbs and Shaw, respectively), along withVanessa Kirbyas Shaw’s sister Hattie, andIdris Elbaas the villain known as Brixton. Everyone looks super sharp, maybe even especially Kirby and Elba, although everyone isworking that lewk.
Universal Picture’sFast & Furiousspinoff seems like a lot of bonkers fun, smartly taking advantage of the chemistry between Johnson and Statham’s characters and augmenting it into what could be a perfect summer action flick. Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’sFurious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down.
