Awesomeness Films, Ace Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment are partnering to produce the sequel, which will be based on the popular YA book trilogy by bestselling authorJenny Han.Matt KaplanandDougie Cashwill once again serve as producers, andSofia Alvarezwill return to write the script, though today’s announcement made no mention ofSusan Johnson, who directed the first film.

I haven’t seenTo All the Boys I’ve Loved Beforeyet but the film boasts a 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which just so happens to be the same critical score assigned toAlfonso Cuarón’s awards contenderRoma. That’s impressive in and of itself. This is also the second Overbrook production to generate a sequel, as Netflix is still developing a follow-up to itsWill SmithmovieBright.
