Earlier today, we got anew, full look at what to expect fromThe Conjuring 2, the latest bag of scares from maestro of the spookyJames Wan, who has become known for launching major horror franchises includingSawandInsidious. Lately, he’s become just as known for his work as a producer, as he has been courted to helm bigger game like the hugely successfulFurious 7and the hotly anticipatedAquaman. So, it’s understandable that he lent his talents strictly as a producer onLights Out, a brand new ghost story starringTeresa PalmerandGabriel Batemen, rather than taking the creative helm of the movie.

Instead,David F. Sandbergis serving as a director, adapting his short scary film to a feature-length chiller, and we’ve got our first full look at the film now via the trailer that debuted at WonderCon 2016. From the looks of things,Lights Outdeals in familiar scary thingamajigs - jangly ghosts, sudden appearances, mutilated and distorted faces, etc. -  but that’s not to say that I’m not going to be cowering in my seat for most of its runtime, regardless.
