Matty Learns that Senior Might be Innocent in ‘Matlock’ Season 1, Episode 8.
The video above begins with a scene in the courtroom where the opposing counsel sees Matty differently than most people do. “Don’t underestimate this Matlock; this woman is sharp,” she says, much to Matty’s delight. Yet it sounds like a warning that Matty doesn’t take as seriously as she should. Being underestimated is one thing that has gotten her this far, and if being recognized as different from how she presents herself makes Matty delighted, she might beflying too close to the sun.
And those who have underestimated her at Jacobson Moore are playing checkers while she’s playing chess. Following her successful attempt at accessing Senior’s computer, Matty does some digging and discovers something unsettling that will have herreevaluating her approach. According to an email Senior received, he was supposed to be out of the country when some documents in the Wellbrexa case were signed. “It was forged,” Matty tells Edwin since Senior could not be in two places simultaneously.

This discoverychanges some things for Mattyas nothing is as straightforward as she wants. It introduces another layer to the story as she must find who forged the documents and for what purposes. It would have been easier if Senior had been the one to sign the documents, but alas, he wasn’t. Watch “No, No Monsters” to discover howthis twist changes thingsfor Matlock.
