Matthew McConaugheymay have taken a little break from starring in movies, but he’s back, and his new film,The Lost Bus, released a new trailer today. Starring oppositeBarbiestarAmerica Ferrera, McConaughey leads thePaul Greengrassmovie, which is an action thriller set during the real-life events of the 2018 Camp Fire. The fire destroyed the town of Paradise in Northern California and is labeled as one of the deadliest wildfires in the state’s history. Greengrass is known for his work on films likeThe Bourne Supremacyas well as several other films in the franchise.
The trailer gives us a deeper look at the movie from the streaming platform after a pulse-pounding teaser was released last month. Other films they’ve recentlyput out includeF1: The Movieas well asMartin Scorsese’sKillers of the Flower Moon.The Lost Busisn’t the only project that McConaughey is working on for the network, as he’s also reportedly working on a series calledBrothers.
McConaughey and Ferrera will star as two adults trying to protect a group of school children who are stuck in the wildfire, as they struggle toget the 22 children out of the blaze and to safety. The synopsis for the film is as follows:
