Few projects this year have earned as much hype in their respective mediums asParadiseandMission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and now one of the stars of the hit Hulu TV series has shared an interesting tidbit tying the two together.Dan Fogelman’s series gained steam due to its thrilling twists and storytelling devices, andThe Final Reckoninghas been dominating the box office, largely thanks to the stunts and action fromTom Cruise. The famous stunt used inMI 8’s marketing has been the plane sequence, which sees Cruise navigate around a biplane with no parachute to support him. During a recent interview with Deadline to talk aboutParadise, Brown revealed thathe actually beat Cruise to the punch on this one, but his scene just hasn’t aired yet:

“I got a whole biplane thing that he tried to steal from me for his movie.F*cking T.C., man. But I’m going to look like I’m second out of the gate when I shot mine way before.”

Brown steered the conversation back toParadise, mentioning just how “physical” it is this time around for Season 2. He declined to reveal which project it was that he filmed the plane sequence for, but we know it’s notParadise.ParadiseSeason 2 just entered production at the end of March, which was just a few months beforeThe Final Reckoninghit theaters. It would have to be something that wrapped filming a while ago if he filmed it beforeThe Final Reckoning. Brown is attached to star in the live-actionVoltronmovie withHenry Cavill, but that justwrapped filming in May, which takes it off the list. The most likely candidate isThe Gallerist, an upcoming thriller starring Brown andNatalie Portman, but there’s also a small chance it could beIs God Is, an upcoming drama withJanelle Monáe. Both projects have wrapped filming.
