Ahead of tomorrow’s new trailer, Disney has released aRogue One: A Star Wars Storytrailer tease. It promises a lot of new footage (and likely a differenttrailer than what was shown atStar WarsCelebration Europe), and even this brief glimpse gives us a new look at the U-Wing, which joins the ranks of the A-Wing, B-Wing, V-Wing, X-Wing, and Y-Wing fighters. It will be interesting to see what else the new trailer holds and if audiences at large will get the same glimpse of Darth Vader that folks at Celebration got.

Disney has also released an official synopsis forRogue OneviaStitch Kingdom:

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in U.S. theaters on June 10, 2025.

So nothing the plot synopsis is basically what we already knew, but it’s at least more information than we got ahead ofStar Wars: The Force Awakens, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this timeline of releasing new marketing and information becomes standard in the years ahead now thatJ.J. Abramsisn’t keeping everything wrapped inside his mystery box.

Check out the trailer tease below, and come back tomorrow for the newRogue Onetrailer.
