Coach Beard just let slip yesterday thatTed LassoSeason 4 will begin filming sooner than we thought, and now one of his co-stars has broken his silence on what to expect in the next season. It didn’t take long after theTed LassoSeason 3 finale for whispers to rumble about a potential fourth season, and those rumblings picked up steam earlier this year until it was officially announced that afourth season of the heartfelt sports dramawas in the works.Nick Mohammed, who plays Nate in the hit Apple TV+ show, recently sat down for an interview with Collider’sChristina RadishforDeep Cover, and she asked if Season 3 felt like the end at the time, or if he knew even then that they’d be coming back for more:

“A bit of both. The storylines in Season 3 would suggest that there was a real sense of finality. Ted goes back home, right? But there were enough things that were set up that would suggest that there was a path to it coming back. We didn’t know for absolute definite, andit was always up to Jason [Sudeikis]as to whether he wanted to do more.”

Mohammed also admits that he“knew for a while”that the show was coming back before it was officially announced, but that it was“quite tough”to keep quiet about it given that he’s“quite the blabbermouth.”Here’s where things get interesting — Mohammed also spoke about Nate’s role in Season 4, admitting that“I genuinely don’t know”about how much we’ll see Nate, but that he’s“sure he’ll pop up.”He also explicitly confirmed that there will be“A whole host of new characters” inTed LassoSeason 4. We knowJason Sudeikiswill reprise his role asTed Lasso in the fourth season, but it sounds like the rest of the recurring ensemble might consist mostly of new characters. Only time will tell what’s next for the AFC Richmond crew, if we’ll even be going back to Nelson Road at all.

When Could ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Be Released?

It has not yet been announcedwhenTed LassoSeason 4 will premiere on Apple TV+, but the most likely window for release is sometime next year. Barring any unforeseen delays, fans can count onTed LassoSeason 4dropping sometime in 2026 — the show doesn’t require the same post-production load as other series that lean heavier into VFX and CGI. IfTed Lassobegins filming before the end of this summer and wraps before the end of 2025,a summer 2026 release could be in store for the Emmy-winning series.

Ted LassoSeason 4 will begin production soon, but it does not have an official release date. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the show, and watch the first three seasons ofTed LassoonApple TV+.
